Murti Pradan

As the deity of Pune and the first honored Ganpati, Shri Kasba Ganpati holds a special place in the hearts of devotees. Every year, during the 10-day Ganpati Festival, devotees eagerly anticipate the opportunity to install the idol of Shri Kasba Ganpati in their homes.
Shri Kasba Ganpati Mandal invites devotees to submit their names for this honor. The Mandal then selects a few fortunate devotees and donates the idol of Shri Kasba Ganpati for home installation. This program is highly anticipated, with devotees from all over Pune eagerly participating in the hope of bringing their beloved deity into their homes during the festival. The entire event is deeply devotional, drawing widespread participation and enthusiasm.

Women’s Day

Shri Kasba Ganpati Mandal is a progressive and forward-thinking organization in the modern era. It stands out as the only Sarvajanik Ganpati Mandal in Pune that actively includes women in its operations. Women serve as volunteers, members, and trustees within the formal structure of the Mandal.
Shri Kasba Ganpati Mandal goes beyond mere inclusion by providing women with opportunities to perform daily and management functions. One day of the 10-day Ganpati festival is dedicated entirely to women, allowing them to handle all daily activities. On this day, women welcome dignitaries and devotees visiting Shri Kasba Ganpati Mandal and perform daily rituals, including puja and arti. Additionally, the Mandal hosts a cookery competition exclusively for women, further celebrating their contributions.

Kasba Kala Karandak

As the deity of Pune and the first honored Ganpati, Shri Kasba Ganpati Mandal provides a significant platform for young artists from various backgrounds to showcase their talents during the annual festival. The Mandal organizes the “Kasba Kala Karandak” program, where children aged 5 to 16 participate in plays, dances, and other activities, displaying their skills in music, poetry, and art. This initiative fosters a sense of belonging and teamwork among the youth, enriching their cultural experience and personal development.

Blood Donation Camps

As a socially responsible organization, Shri Kasba Ganpati Mandal organizes blood donation camps annually during the Ganpati festival. This noble initiative aids patients across Pune in their recovery. The blood donation camp is held within the Mandal premises each year, contributing significantly to the community’s well-being.

Kasba Gram Pradakshina

According to the Hindu Marathi calendar, it is believed that Lord Ganpati was born on Magh Shukla Chaturthi. Shri Kasba Ganpati Mandal celebrates Ganesh Janm on this auspicious day every year. The Mandal carries the silver idol of Shri Kasba Ganpati in a traditional palkhi and takes a complete round around the old Pune city, a procession known as Gram Pradakshina in Marathi.
Devotees believe that through this Gram Pradakshina, the lord visits their homes, and they worship him with great devotion. This tradition also helps Shri Kasba Ganpati Mandal strengthen its bonds with other Mandals in the vicinity, fostering a sense of community and shared heritage.
